We only have one more day left before the FireFox D-Day 2008, as the Firefox 3, Mozilla’s popular open-source Web browser, will be released on Tuesday, June 17th.

The target of SpreadFirefox.com – the site where potential users can pledge their support to download Firefox 3 and to set a Guinness World Record for highest number of software downloads in a single day.

So if you are enjoying the safety features and coolness of Firefox browser why not show your support by participating in their campaign to set the “Guinness World Record for highest number of software downloads in a single day”. As of writing, there are over 1.16 million people who have signed up on the site to download the browser the day it is released. The United States is leading the charge with over 191,000 pledges. In something of a surprise, Poland and Brazil are neck and neck for the second most pledge with over 81,000 and over 79,000 pledged respectively. Pinoy (Philippines) pledge is already 8,107.

    I think that this download day was a faIL, cuz the on half of the day the servers stopped to respond and many downloads wasn’t counted.

    I’m not sure what happen to that because they actually email on June 17, on D-day and told me to download at June 18, 5:00pm to participate in the record breaking day. but it was already June 18, I thought it was in one day to set a record. So I think they fail, same as their server fail :)
