A good news for North American Resident Evil fans, Sony announced the early release of Resident Evil: Degeneration from it’s first announcement in December 30, 2008 to it’s early date of December 27, 2008. I know it was only three days ahead from the original date but what the hell it was my birthday, so it can be the best gift I can ever had this year.
Well, if you still not aware of this movie only I can say was, it’s not part of the franchise movie of Milla Jovovich. Resident Evil: Degeneration, known in Japan as Biohazard: Degeneration (バイオハザード ディジェネレーション, Baiohazādo Dijenerēshon?), is the first full-length CG animation feature based upon the Resident Evil series of games. It was announced by Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan on October 29, 2007. Unlike the previous Resident Evil film trilogy, Degeneration is set within the same universe as the original video games.
If you one of the owner of Resident Evil: Extinction DVD and Blu-ray Disc, the teaser was included in the Resident Evil: Extinction DVD and Blu-ray Disc which confirmed the appearance of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
Resident Evil: Degeneration will be will be released on UMD, DVD, and Blu-ray formats and releases are slated for December 17, 2008 in Japan and December 27, 2008 in North America.
