PSPTube by Sofiyacat is really a good apps in the the homebrew scene, It was one of the apps in my memory card I can’t live without, It was a very good companion mostly if you are waiting for somebody or just want to relax in a cafe, with wi-fi everything will be fine. But the drawback with this apps is the guide, which was written in japanese so you need a very good translator to really understand it. So here is the easy way to make it work:

What you need:
1. PC
2. PSP with custom firmware only
3. Wi-Fi connection
4. USB Cable
5. YouTube Dev ID.

How to get YouTube Developer’s ID: (Update Here)

1. Open the browser and go to http://www.youtube.com/dev/

2. There is a link on the right side of the page, “Developer Profile,” click that.

3. Now enter your info.

4. Go to your YouTube account and click “Developer’s Profile.”

5. Copy the id that looks like a bunch of numbers and letters.

How-To-
1. Download the old version first (PSPTube20070817).
2. Once extracted it you should get 3 files 100, 150 and 200over.
3. Get the files thats inside the 200over and put it in your GAME3xx folder, if you don’t have GAME3xx in your PSP folder then go make one. For example if your version is 3.30 OE-A, then you should make the folder GAME330 in ur PSP folder. It should look like this X:/PSP/GAME310.
4. Open psptube.cfg file with notepad ot any text editor. Find where it says dev_id = “”there should be 2 of them. In the dev_id = “” put your dev ID so it should look like this dev_id = “ugP3HnT7ruo”. Then saved.
Look like this:
[YouTube]
; YouTube‚ÌŠJ”—pID‚ðÝ’肵‚Ü‚·B
; YouTube‚Ì“®‰æ‚ðŒŸõ‚·‚鎞‚É•K—v‚È‚à‚̂ł·B
; uMy Account‚ÌAccount Settingsv¨uDeveloper Profilev‚ɂĎ擾‚Å‚«‚Ü‚·B
; uDeveloper ID:v‰E‚Ì11Œ…‚Ì•¶Žš‚ðƒ_ƒuƒ‹ƒR[ƒe[ƒVƒ‡ƒ“‚ÅŠ‡‚Á‚Đݒ肵‚Ä‚
; ‚¾‚³‚¢B
; example)dev_id = “ABCDEFGHIJK”
dev_id = “”

5. Once you do this load it up and make sure you already have a network connection setup for your PSP. When it loads it should ask which connection to use. Pick which one you like that works and press X.
6. After that you should get a white screen and at the top left corner it says “No Video” if you get that press X and it should let you start searching for a video.
7. Upgrading to latest Version PSPTube 20080114. Download the zip file.
8. Extract the new psptube and get the files inside. It should be a folder named PSPtube and there’s 1 file, 1 script and 1 folder in it. EBOOT file and a favorites folder. Your PSP doesn’t have to be 3.71 M33 to make it works.
9. All you have to do is take the PSPtube folder and put it in your GAME3.xx folder where your “old version” PSPTube saved.
10. Now, go under Game and click Memory Stick. Find the PSPTube application and start it.
You should see a screen with your internet connection(s).
11. Press “O” to select your connection.
12. You should now get to a page that says “No Video.” Shortly it will display the OSK for you to enter text to search.
13. Enter whatever you want by using you PSP’s controls (X normally for NA and O normally for Asia/Japan.) When you are done, click “Enter.”
14. It should search and display the results.
15. Click which ever video you would like view using “O”. It should play. If it shows http://catche.googlevideo.com/getvid…id=xxxxxxx x: -5 press X to go back to the video selection screen and choose the video again. (If X doesn’t work when you press it, hold X and press R.)
16. Your video should now be streaming. If there are any graphical glitches, restart the application from a cold restarted psp. (Turn off your psp completely then turn it back on and click the PSPTube application.) You can press “Select” to change the view modes.
17. To exit, press “Home” and quit the application.

18: Follow the Control option:

X - is basically the OK button. Just like in the regular PSP games.

While not playing a video
Select - chooses which videos you want to see. Either from youtube, your favorites, or Veoh. It should be at the top left corner.
O - is used to show the typing Screen.
Triangle - is used to pop up a menu box on the right. Either to play the video, to save the video, or to save as. If you are in your favorites section then your choices are Play the video, or delete video from favorites.
X - is used to play the chosen video.
L Trigger - Go to the Previous Results page.
R Trigger - Go to the Next Results page.
While playing a video:
SQUARE- used to search while vid is playing in the background.
O - to stop the video and go back to the search screen.

Some versions PSPTube doesn’t work on:
3.02 OE-B
3.03 OE-C
3.51 M33

I don’t know if this is true but people have been saying this new PSPtube can break your PSP. Use at your own risk. As for me, im not buying what people say.

    @noname:
Some video really won’t work, some don’t even buffer or just a black screen, that is because some video had a high bitrate and streaming it needs a lot of data. So that’s normal and let try to live with it for now. :)
