How To Get YouTube Dev ID for PSPTube

I receive a comment today regarding my tutorial in my post “how-to-easy-guide-to-psptube-20080114″ that my link to have the YouTube Dev ID was a broken link because of an extra slash or forward slash(/) which is “http://www.youtube.com/dev/” which supposed to be “http://www.youtube.com/dev”. But when I check it out seems like it was still hard for the people to get the Dev ID from there. Since the update of their API last August 2007, I think they change some of their links. Since I got my Dev ID when the first time PSPTube was been released last June 2007. So just to settle down all the problems, I try to get a new Dev ID. Since I also found out that I need to have a new API. So here’s the 5 Easy Steps How to get your Dev ID.

1. You need to create your YouTube account. Fill out all the info required, then click “sign up”.

2. Go to your email that you put in the sign up sheet, open inbox and go to confirmation letter send by YouTube. Then click “confirm your email address.

3. Once you confirmed, Log in. On right side top, beside your name and mail icon, click “account”. Once open, go down below in Account column click “Developer Profile”.

4. Once open, you will notice the form with Developer ID but no value yet. So fill out you profile. When your done click “Save Profile”.

5. Once open, Alas! you will notice that the Developer ID is now have a value, a combination of numbers and letters and that what you need to put in PSPtube.cfg, dev_id.

And your done. Happy PSPTubing!

    Josh advice is right, jonathan. Just sign-in to your Youtube account then open a new tab in your FF@ browser and then go to to this url: http://www.youtube.com/my_profile_dev and voila! you can see you dev account now. Just let me know if you still have problem doing this.

    @faiz:
    What version are you using? and what services (i.e. youtube) you are using? as I noted some video and services is not working fine. But try youtube and input the word “PINOY” like what I did if that doesnt work Just be specific with your question and I will try to give you a hand with that. Thanks

    make a Gmail acount which is google mail, and then click this link http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/dashboard/ then, you will have to figure the rest on your own.

    Please try the latest “Ultimate PSPtube v1.8, no need for dev id, but your PSP must be running in Custom Firmware not the OFW. Check my post here http://www.pinoyconsole.com/homebrew/ultimate-psptube-v18-by-jk108-released-now/
