Since the release of PSP-3000 or also known as PSP Brite, the race to Custom firmware is set to green. After a month of desperation for all PSP-3000 owner, the Datel Battery is like a ray of light in the mids of darkness. But like what engadget say Don’t pop open the champagne just yet, though. the capabilities of this still not even proven, no video or any proof that this stuff will work.
If you still not aware about this blue battery. Datel has revealed a special battery peripheral called the Lite Blue Tool that boots the handheld console into service mode, where downgrades to earlier, cracked firmwares are possible. Datel also said that it had to engineer an “advanced IC controller†inside its tool in order to crack the new PSP. Dubbed the Lite Blue Tool, the product is set to hit November 28 at in the UK and North America with a price of ₤19.99 and $29.99 respectively. Not that steep to try, eh.
But before you make your reservation for this blue stuff, read first below what Dark-Alex think about this Datel battery from his blog site.
Well, this post is just to answer some mails that i’ve recieved.
1. To have a LED indicator ON, doesn’t means that you can install cfw or hack anything. Remember 088v3 mobos? Right.
2. It’s spreading like a timebomb that it can be hacked and so on. Well, what any user can see is an interesting campaign to promote an article that is not yet released. It would be interesting to see.. how about an old “hello world” like on Noobz time, instead of a “buy today” call?
3. Just to remember all this things up, LED indicator ON and nothing on screen means directly what Dark_AleX explained here about the preIPL.
Would be an interesting step, indeed, in case that the protection on 3k would be sort of a signal encryption or a change of protocol instead of just a change of the battery pin communication system; so, until more proofs come into play, i would not definetly go in a rush to buy it xD.
Well, what do you think guys? for me, it need to be certified by Dark-Alex first.

He has the right to be negative about this product. I’m also not convinced myself until I see its wonders. But the thing is, there are other good engineers out there that can do what Dark_Alex can do, or even better. So, there’s a good chance that this could be authentic.
i agree he does have the right to be negative and it could work aswell. But really since dark alex is the main person for this and probably knows most about it, he should test and find out if its a fake or anything that could harm your psp.
i agree with Kent.. as a consumer and a psp 3000 owner , necessary precaution about the battery is important. you cant just buy it without valid proof.
there needs to be a video of it in youtube alteast! rather than hack-heads screaming 3k has been entered.
Still no vids or any proof it works yet…?
