After a lot of rumours and buzz circulating in the internet about the 3G iPhone that will be introduce in Macworld. And yet we are all left alone in the darkness without no sure sign of 3G iPhone. It didn’t show up in MacWorld. What we only got is just a software update that brings multiple-recipient messaging, Google Maps with location service, customizable home screen, etc. These upgrades may be great, but there are still a lot of missing features like Bluetooth stereo A2DP, MMS, and video recording which is already existing a long time ago in other phone, where is the Apple innovation? Does Steve Jobs hate 3G? Still a lot of speculation coming out though Steve Jobs confirm before that there is a 3G iPhone in the works. But there’s still no word on exactly when it will be available to buyers, though it’s expected to be ready some time this year. Jobs said there are power issues with the 3G chips, it’s “power hogs,” it would drain out the unit’s battery life. Since the iPhone advertises 8 hours of call time, which is an unavoidable issue for the time being.
So why a lot of people want a 3G iPhone? Simple, “A 3G network is the third generation of mobile phone standards and technology. One of the main benefits of 3G networks over 2G is the faster data speeds. Unlike Wi-Fi networks that require close proximity to connect, 3G networks are also on in areas where cellular service is available.
There are about 200 million people connected to 3G around the world, with Asia and Europe making up the majority of users, according to the GSM Association trade group.
Somehow, 3G iPhone is not necessary yet because most of the US doesn’t have 3G coverage.
