Are you one of the owner of the latest PSP Brite? Maybe you are wondering around the net, searching on how to exploit your new PSP and make it run all the Homebrew apps that you can think of. Well, kinda bad news to Homebrew community the new PSP-3000 was still unhackable yet, but I can say nothing to worry about it, now the PSP – 3000 is now available to everyone, the race to hack is now in a full start mode, so let’s say it was a temporary situation. Sooner or later Dark Alex will come out with the new brave CFW 4.2 for the PSP homebrew community to consume and overuse.
So to give you some relief, here is some of the information what’s in the innards of this machine.
As posted in Sceners.org, here are some of the things that have already been discovered:
* Firmware it comes with: 4.20
* Boxcode: 4.20ofw, as it happened with 3.60ofw on slim, no letter.
* DC7 works? -> NO
* TA-088v3 identifier says what? -> Most probably same CPU.
“DC-7″ (a.k.a Desparatar del Cementerio v7)being incompatible with PSP-3000 isn’t all that a surprise. After all, Dark AleX already sent word out explaining why they couldn’t hack into the TA-088 v3 motherboards yet.
